Ria

Ria has been a member of the Sessions team since 2006. Since obtaining her cosmetology license in 1999, Ria has gained successful notoriety in her chosen craft. As a full time Cosmetology Instructor at Citrus College, Ria assists future beauticians in the skills necessary to become successful. She is a color and wedding updo specialist. Her various hair styles have been featured in Ceremony Magazine 2010.

Ria’s education in hair is ongoing. She has attended numerous Redken Exchange and Matrix Academy programs in New York. She was a student at the International Dermal Institute, Royal Hair Institute Barbering College and obtains a B.A. in Business Marketing from the University of San Diego. As a student and teacher of the beauty industry, she is an example for all aspiring artists.

Ria also spends her time volunteering for the American Cancer Society’s “Look Good, Feel Better” program. She helps women that undergo chemotherapy with applying makeup, head scarves and wigs. She also sustains experience in working behind the scenes doing hair and makeup for different television shows, such as “Flavor of Love”, “Writer’s Guild Awards” and “A Clay Aiken Christmas Special”.
