Karissa is a Los Angeles native and started her career at the age of 17. Realizing hairstyling was her true calling. Her love of art, music and fashion are major influences in her aesthetics of hair dressing. She has trained with top celebrity/editorial hairstylists, leaving her with exceptional skills in every hair type. As a versatile and in demand hairstylist, she uses a fashion forward approach to her hair color and design techniques.

Her forte is soft, dimensional, natural color and a haircut that works with the given texture. She perfects the art of making hair preparaion manageable and effortless for her clients. Her attentiveness and strong enthusiasm for her craft is what keeps her clients returning for more. Not just a stylist behind the chair, but a stylist that collaborates with photographers and is furthering her career in the editorial world

Karissa is excited to continually expand her skills to provide the best session with her clients.  She is also the retail manager at Salon Sessions.  She provides each client with excellent insight regarding any product questions or inquiries.  Her experience and knowledge in each product and manufacturer is of extreme importance to everyone at Salon Sessions.  Salon Sessions Studio primarily offers products from Kerastase, Oribe, Inoa and Redken.  If any concerns are raised regarding any company or product, Karissa is the gratefully here to help.
