Ruth Rivas was born and raised in Los Angeles California. Ruths interest in the beauty and fashion industry sparked her interest in hairdressing and has been perfecting her craft for 11 years. Her approach to hair, is just do it. “Nothing is difficult it just takes initiative and drive to begin.” Her openness to new ideas, technologies and advancements are what have kept her on the cutting edge of the hair industry.

She recently placed 2nd for the United States in the Young Talent Category for Wella, and is a platform artist and educator for FHI Heat. Traveling all over the country, Mexico and Canada she has taught and inspired many other hairdressers. Ruth credits her success to her curiosity and openness.
